Weekly Review

"What Do You Go Home To?"

One Thumb Up, One Thumb Down

Once agin, I had mixed feelings about this weeks episode. I am having a hard time getting back into the episodes of One Tree Hill. Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely love the show, but it just isn't sucking me in like it usually does.

This week we learned that Brooke is going to get a "trial" baby. She is housing and taking care of a child coming from another company to have surgery. Milicent is moving in with Mouth (Marvin McPhaden). Hailey is Peyton's newly signed artists. Nathan is beginning to play ball again and Lucas is back in town and still in love with Lindsey (and Peyton). I didn't learn anything new or exciting and am still waiting for Lucas to realize that he wants Peyton.

I am waiting for an episode to leave me hanging and want more. The episode before the three week vacation was just the type that I love. An episode that leaves you wishing that you were watching it on DVD so you could pop in the next one is what I want. Hopefully with Lindsey coming back will help with the excitement.

Have Fun Watching!!!

Vegas....Finally!

About a month ago I went to Las Vegas with Kristen, Rachel, and Katie for Kristen's bachelorette party and I finally got all the pictures. We stayed at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in an amazing suite. We hung out by the pool, gambled a little bit (I won $100), ate sushi at a fabulous restaurant, danced at Body English, shopped, and much more. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

One of my tires was really low on air on the way down so we had to stop and put air in it. Of course there are three gas stations at that exit, but only one has an air pump and it is broken. We drove very slowly to the next exit.
Kristen chillin' on the couch in our room.

Kristen and I hanging out at Body English. We met some people that were there for a bachelor party and we all hung out.

Hanging outside of our rooms.

The pool at Hard Rock Hotel. It was pretty amazing.

Reading magazines on our very hard sofa.

Kristen and I hangin' by the pool.

Rach and Kris sunbathing.

Girlies at Body English. We had to have at least one ugly picture, right?
I had a blast and I hope Kristen enjoyed her bachelorette party. It was a good vacation away from work, home, and definitely the cold!

One Tree Hill....Weekly Review

So I have decided since I love this show so much I would do a weekly review on it's episodes. Maybe I will convince some of you that it is a fabulous show that will just suck you right in.

This was the first week back from a three week vacation so to recap.....Lucas' and Lindsey's Wedding Day. Lucas finally finished his second book. Lindsey, both his editor and lover, read it and thought it was the most romantic book she had ever read. While saying their vows Lindsey realized that Lucas was still in love (and will always be in love) with Peyton. Lindsey left him at the alter because not only his first book, but also his second book was about how much he was in love with Peyton. In the meantime, Nathan and Hailey's son, Jamie, was kidnapped by the nanny. Grandpa Dan, who just got out of prison for killing his brother Keith, followed Nanny Carrie and rescued Jamie. Brooke, Owner of fashion line Clothes Over Bros, decided she wanted to adopt a baby.

Okay....now that you are all caught up and realize that you have already missed so much....here is this weeks review.

"One Thumb Up, One Thumb Down"

I have to say that I was a bit disappointed by this episode. I was expecting this to be a fabulous one since it was the first one after vacation. It basically went through each person's personal woes as they talked to different people about where they should go in their life. Hailey and Nathan began seeing a marriage counselor and discovered that they just need to get back to their dreams (singing and basketball respectively). Lucas decided to go away with his mom and her boyfriend. He kept talking about how he was madly in love with Lindsey and wanted her back......I know that he still loves Peyton, but refuses to admit it. He doesn't want everyone to say "I told you so!" Speaking of Peyton, she just talked nonsense with the old owner of her favorite record store. I didn't really get much revelation out of her talk. Last, but not least, Brooke was meeting with the adoption company. Brooke found out that her mom was called; therefore, Brooke was turned down by the adoption company because they were told that she would not be suitable. Brooke's mom is such a witch and she definitely one of my least favorites next to Dan Scott.

To sum it all up....the episode told us stuff we basically already knew and didn't really leave us wanting more which is what I love. Don't worry though, I still love it and will be back next week for another weekly review.

First Round of the Season

Today was my first round of golf since last summer. I went with my mom, dad, and brother. I am still trying to get my swing down, but it's getting there. I did play one of my best games so far. I wasn't ever sure about this game until I started playing it and I love it! Can't wait to play again. Let me know if you ever want to go.

If only I could dance this good

I found this on another blog and I have to say I loved watching it. I wish I was as talented at dancing as these 10 year olds!

Family Traditions

My family has several traditions, but one of my favorites is Girls Night Out. Every conference weekend while the boys are at the priesthood session the girls in the family go to dinner. We even happen to make it to a few stores. We usually go to the same restaurant everytime, The Old Spaghetti Factory. We talk about switching it up, but we can never seem to actually do that. We love the Spaghetti Factory!

Our favorite dish is the brown butter with mazzithera cheese. My mom usually orders the side of meat sauce and I usually order the side of sausage (or hot dogs to get Sophie to eat it). It is simply delicious!

Don't Worry....It's Not Broken

So today I hurt my hand at work. I had a giant "hematoma" (that's what my vice principal called it) on the top of my hand. I wasn't going to go to the doctor to have it checked out, but my coordinators at my cluster meeting said I had to go. The doctor took x-rays and it isn't broken. I think I would have a heart attack if it was broken! It would be extremely difficult to do my job without a fully working hand. The doctor wrapped it and said he would put me on light duty (I was very tempted), but I'm not that big of a wuss. I mean a few good gifts would make me feel wonderful!! :) Ha Ha Ha
