I bought a new car and LOVE it!

Well, last minute Wednesday night I decided to buy a new car. I was going to wait for a while, but my sister's mother-in-law was selling hers for a really great price. It is a car that I was going to buy when it came time so when the opportunity came up I decided to go for it.
I love every second of it!!! It is very roomy (front AND back seats :) JK) and it drives super fast. It definitely has juevos!!! Not to mention I got an AMAZING deal. (Thanks Dian)

Here is the view of the front from the back seat. It is black on tan interior. It has both a sunroof and moonroof which I am super excited about when it finally gets warmer outside.

Here is the roomy backseat. It also has a pretty big trunk, but unfortunately doesn't have a handle inside the trunk. (In case I ever get shut in I won't be able to get out.) I can't wait to roadtrip.....Vegas and Cali here I come!!!

Snowboarding and Superbowl

Yesterday was my first ever snowboarding trip. We decided that for our Girls Night Out we would go snowboarding since everyone else LOVES it. I decided to be a trooper and try it. It was fun, but one of the most PAINFUL things I have ever done. Now I don't know how I compared to other people on their first times, but I thought I did pretty good. I only went down the mountain once because I was so tired, sore, and frustrated, but I feel really great about that one time down. I will go a few more times to decide if I really like it or not, but here are a few pictures documenting the experience.
Me and Alicia riding the shuttle from the parking lot.

Char and Val...sorry the sun is shining right on Char's face!

Rachel and I bundlling up while we wait for the other girls....it was freezing!

This is one of my many bruises I received during the day....this one actually began forming before I officially made it all the way down the mountain.

As for the Superbowl....I've cried a few tears tonight because, as you can see, I was cheering for Cardinals and they lost. They played a good game, the food was amazing, Rachel and I definitely had some awesome head gear, and Kurt Warner is hot so all in all it was a good night!!!

Sundancing

Saturday I went up to the Sundance Film Festival with the fam for some celebrity Gawking. We don't usually go to any movies, but this year we at least tried to get movie tickets and no luck. We walked around for a while and then headed over to the Outlet Shops and did what we do best....shopped. It was definitely a good time like always.
Kara, Me, Kristen, and Rach

Linda Hogan and her newer/younger boyfriend. They were so ghetto in their matching leather fringe coats. Not to mention matching hair.

Adam Duritz from Counting Crows

Russel Simmons and Rachel

Tom Arnold...he looked pretty haggard

Me, Mom, Kristen, and Rachel

Rachel and I also talked to Jane Lynch in line at the Java Cow, but I got too nervous and didn't take her picture.....To my defense she was standing about a foot away from me and it would have been awkward to pull out my camera, Kara!

Rachel's Birthday aka Gas Station Phenomenon...

Two weeks ago it was Rachel's birthday and she decided she wanted to have a gas station birthday party.....I stole these pictures from Rachel's blog (thanks Rach!) so I could document this fantastic event! Rachel and I spent all day Saturday getting "gas station" food (items for her hot dog roaster, nacho ingredients, packet condiments, nacho and hot dog trays, etc.) We had tons of awesome food, who doesn't love gas station food?, slurpees, sodies, corn nuts, etc.

Nate, Rachel, and Jared

Girls in their "gas station" attire....thanks to Ben for giving me a Big O shirt years ago!
Me, Rach, Heather, and Bobbie

Me and Jason

Rachel's hot dog cooker....Isn't it AMAZING???

Notice the Nascar decorations in the background? We went all out!

Bret Michaels and Wendover

This past weekend I went with some friends to the Bret Michael's concert in Wendover. We braved the Friday storm and headed out hoping to make it in time.....don't you worry, we did!

Me, Bobbie, and Rachel crammed into the backseat on the way to Wendover.

Jess, Heather, Me, Rachel, and Bobbie waiting for Bret to come out.

Here he is! It was a really good concert except for the fact that it wasn't very long. He did play all of our favorite songs so that was a bonus.

Of course, we had to purchase t-shirts because Bret was going to come out and meet everyone. Until he went into a diabetic shock....at least that's what she said!

Bobbie had to get a picture of jumping from bed to bed....this is about picture number 57! My camera has a long reaction time.

And the car ride home....notice how happy I am....I won $400 playing Three Card Poker, Roulette, and Blackjack. I was on a roll!!!

Christmas Sing-A-Long

Last night I took Cooper to the Christmas Sing-A-Long at the Energy Solutions Arena. It was quite the activity. Basically you go and sing Christmas songs with everyone. The best part was it was FREE not to mention we got a free drink and hot dog, plus a free ticket to an upcoming Bee's game and Nascar race at the Miller Park Speedway. It was pretty sweet.

Rachel, Cooper, and I eating our hot dogs.

Santa Claus came and so did the Jazz Bear. Cooper loved when they got out the machine gun looking thing that shot out t-shirts. He wanted me to catch one for him, but I failed.

Rachel on the train....they give everyone a program with the words to the songs so you can "sing-a-long". The Utah Symphony played the music that we sang along to.

Cooper and I riding the train back to our car. I think this was really Cooper's favorite part.

Who wants the stall with the shower curtain????

So I went to the Broadway Theater tonight to see the movie "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" and after the movie we all had to use the bathroom. We walk in and this is what we saw.....I guess the door broke so they replaced it with a shower curtain. Who, in their right mind, is going to choose (out of 20 bathroom stalls) the one where someone could possibly walk in on you? What were they thinking?!? I definitely laughed really hard and had to blog about it.
P.S. "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" was an excellent film and very sad. Go see it or rent it (when it comes out on video) if you have the chance!
